University Trainees
to join the Nano and Molecular Systems (NANOMO) research unit for summer 2023.
Trainee positions
Position 1:
Job description: The university trainee will work on numerical modeling of many-body physics present in superconducting quantum processors.
Skills requirements: Quantum Mechanics I and II and programming skills are beneficial.
Duration: 2-3 months, 1.6.-31.8.2023

Position 2:
Job description: The summer trainee will work on programming of quantum computers (Finnish Helmi quantum computer) for quantum error correction or quantum simulation.
Skills requirements: Quantum Mechanics I and II and programming skills are beneficial.
Duration: 2-3 months, 1.6.-31.8.2023

Position 3:
Job description: Novel photocatalysts characterizations
Skills requirements: Basic knowledge of experimental physics, quantum mechanics
Duration: 2 months during 1.6.-31.08.2023

Position 4:
Job description: The university trainee will work either on topics related to photocatalytic hydrogen production OR hydrogen reduction of iron ores. Tasks may vary from laboratory work to literature reviews, depending on the qualifications and interests of the candidate.
Duration: 1.6.-31.8.

Position 5:
Job description: The trainee will participate to the experimental work carried out at NANOMO laboratory and assist in data analysis and maintenance work in the lab.
Duration: 1.5.-30.6.

Position 6:
Job description: The person will work on first principles investigation of the catalytic propertiest of van der Waals heterostructures.
Skills requirements: Quantum mechanics I is required.
