Part-time employment application for grant researchers

Grant researchers are a valuable part of the University community, who produce considerable amount of the University results using funding they have personally achieved. Whenever possible, a work contract with a minimum of 10% share of part-time duties shall be made with the grant researcher. If the grant is received from University of Oulu or Oulu Scholarship Foundation or the terms of the grant state that a simultaneous work contract is not allowed, the work contract cannot be made, because this can endanger the tax-free status of the grant.

1. Make sure that you meet the requirements listed in Patio-Grant researcher and that your residence permit (if applicable) gives you the right to work in Finland, and discuss the content and the share of part time duties with the line manager
2. Fill in and submit this application to initiate the process
3. Upon completion, your line manager will be notified and will process the application
4. Finally, the employment contract will be made to you following a normal employment contract process.
