We are recruiting

two university trainees

to the Global Innovation Network for Teaching and Learning (GINTL) project of the University of Oulu. GINTL is a key network for Finland's solutions to the global learning crisis. GINTL supports mutual and global network cooperation between Finnish education institutions and the network's partnerships built in various African countries, China and India.

The internships are provided only to students of the Faculty of Education and Psychology, University of Oulu.

1) Global Innovation Network for Teaching and Learning (GINTL) Namibia
Earliest possible starting date: 10.2023
Length: 2 months (153h/month, part-time)
Study credits: 5 ECTS credits (408038S Thematic Practice or 408518S Internship or Elective Studies) 

Tasks: The intern’s tasks include assisting in development of teaching and learning resources, coordination of collaborative activities, research processes and writing, and other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: interest in international institutional collaboration, good analytical, critical thinking and reporting skills, experience and interest to learn to produce online materials and develop online learning and teaching resources and environments, capacity to produce review of literature as a collective, completed bachelor’s degree in educational sciences, on-going Master’s degree studies in the University of Oulu. The internship is to be a part of the degree studies of the student. Priority will be given to applicants who have not yet completed an internship required for their degree. Good English language skills, availability from 10.2023 (or as agreed, also part-time work is possible), possibility to travel in Finland and to Namibia.

Payment: 2 months (1559,45€/month)

2) EDUCase Platform Network India (Blended Intensive Study Programme in Pune and Oulu)
Earliest possible starting date: 1.11.2023
Length: 2 months (153h/month, part-time)
Study credits: 5 ECTS credits (408038S Thematic Practice or 408518S Internship or Elective Studies) 
Tasks:  The intern’s tasks might include assisting in coordination of collaborative activities, research processes and writing, and other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: interest in international education and mobility, collaboration and reporting skills, information collection and organizing skills, good English language skills, possibility to travel to India with students from Oulu in February 2024 (10 days), and committed to host a visit of Indian students in April 2024 (10 days). Priority might be given to applicants who have not yet completed an internship required for their degree. 
Payment: 2 months (1559,45€/month)
