We are now looking for a
in hydrogen storage in solid materials to join the Fiber and Particle Engineering research unit.
Fiber and Particle Engineering research unit (appr. 60 persons) at the in the University of Oulu focuses on sustainable cementitious binders, high-value applications of inorganic side streams, and sustainable materials, chemicals and applications based on lignocelluloses. The subteam focusing on the high-value applications of inorganic side streams (leader Assistant Professor Tero Luukkonen) develops novel water treatment materials and materials for gaseous systems. The team has all relevant processing equipment, analytics, and trained laboratory staff.
A four-year Doctoral Researcher position in hydrogen storage in solid materials available at the Fiber and Particle Engineering Research Unit, at University of Oulu, Finland under the GeoH2 project funded by Future Makers funding program.
Hydrogen is one of the promising future energy carriers but its storage as gas or liquid is challenging. Thus, storage in a solid matrix would be useful in many applications. The principal aim of this project is to synthesize, characterize, and study the hydrogen storage performance of novel materials resembling zeolites. The main result of this project is to obtain practically interesting new materials for this application
