The ExPECT project is looking for a

Creator of short educational animations

for two months in late spring or summer 2025.

CoARA ExPECT is a joint project of Ruhr-Universität Bochum, the University of Tampere and the University of Oulu to promote the vision of the international CoARA coalition to reform research evaluation. The aim of the ExPECT project is to create a set of learning materials for researchers, evaluators, administrative staff and organisational management. By creating accessible and pedagogically meaningful instructional videos tailored to the different stages of a researcher's career, supported by more detailed written instructions, we promote a European approach to researcher evaluation.

Job description: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic project worker (animator) for the ExPECT project for two months in late spring or summer 2025. Your role will be to create short instructional videos and animations to be used in the reform of researcher evaluation.

Place of work: the University of Oulu, Linnanmaa campus. Partial possibility to work remotely.

Required skills and experience:

• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Applicable studies
• Proficiency in the software required to create animations
• Positive attitude and commitment to learning
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• No previous work experience is required, but experience in animation is required

Salary:

The position is fixed-term, starting no later than 2.6.2025 (or earlier by agreement) and lasting two months.

The salary will be based on the level 6 of the demand level chart for other expert and support staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). The salary for similar positions is typically 2500 EUR/month (before taxes). A trial period according to TES is applied in the position.
