We are now looking for a

Doctoral researcher

to work in the multidisciplinary KNOWTIME project, which studies how different biological clocks (e.g., circadian rhythm, epigenetic) are associated with time keeping in the mind.

About the job

• As a doctoral researcher you will actively communicate during the different phases of the project towards different stakeholders (e.g., international research community, media, research groups, collaborative partners)   
• In the KNOWTIME project your responsibilities include data analyses, literature reviews, as well as tasks relating to data management
• You will also be part of multidisciplinary research group that creates research ideas for the future, and builds continuation for the following years

Who are you? 

In order to succeed and enjoy the position, we expect you to have:

• A master's degree in cognitive science, psychology, physics, epidemiology, or other relevant scientific discipline
• Fluent written and spoken English skills
• Ability to solve problems and think analytically
• IT skills (basic statistical analyses, Matlab, Excel)

We also appreciate:

• Finnish language skills (tasks may include communication with study participants) 
• Experience in diverse statistical analyses (e.g.,. R, SPSS)
• Earlier experience in scientific publishing process or structured literature reviews

Salary

The position is fixed-term for 2 years as of 1.9.2025 (or as agreed).

The salary will be based on the levels 2-4 of the demand level chart for teaching and research staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). Starting gross salary will be approx. 2500-2900 € per month (before taxes).  A trial period of 6 months is applied in the position.
