We are now looking for a University Teacher for a fixed-term position in the Nano and Molecular Systems Research Unit at the Faculty of Science, University of Oulu, for the period October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2028.

About the job

This position is closely related to the H2FIND (Hydrogen Education for Finland-India collaboration) project funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education. Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating the implementation of a joint international master’s program between AMITY University (India) and the University of Oulu
Coordinating international student and staff exchanges
Developing green transition education offerings in physics, including building collaboration with upper secondary schools
Teaching duties related to the physics degree programs at the University of Oulu
Participating in research activities within the Nano and Molecular Systems Research Unit

Who are you?

To succeed and enjoy this role, we expect you to have:

A doctoral degree in physics
Experience in university-level physics education
Teaching experience
Good command of English
Experience in international collaboration

Considered an advantage:

Experience in a relevant research field
Pedagogical training and other teaching-related merits

Salary

The position is fixed-term for 3 years starting on October 1, 2025 (or as agreed).
The salary will be based on level 5 of the demand level chart for teaching and research staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (a maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). The typical starting gross salary will be approximately 3800-4000 euros per month (before taxes).A trial period of 6 months is applied to the position.
