with good language and teamwork skills for a part-time 55% traineeship (20 hours / week) in the Academic Affairs Mobility team and the Talent Boost team for the period 12 August – 20 December 2024.

As part of the University of Oulu's internationalisation measures, we coordinate the University of Oulu's Kummi Family programme, organise an intensive course for starting international degree students, and implement orientation events as well as the Study Abroad Fair.

About the job 

As a trainee, your duties include:

  • Coordination of the Kummi Family programme (attracting and advising participants, connecting families and students under the programme guidelines and organising the first meeting in September),
  • Planning and practical implementation of orientation events the Study Abroad Fair
  • Assisting in other daily tasks.

Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for a trainee with:

  • Excellent coordination skills and eagerness to learn and get things done.
  • Good communication skills, particularly good English skills are importan. Mastering the basics of the Finnish language is considered an advantage. 
  • Proactive attitude
  • Courage to share their ideas and present in public.

Although you will get guidance and instructions to all tasks, we appreciate an independent approach to any given task. We also hope that you know both the city of Oulu and the university well.

The traineeship must be part of the studies so we require that the student selected for the position can include the traineeship in their studies.   



During the training period (12 August – 20 December 2024), a monthly salary of 55%*1646,31 €/month is paid.
