Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering

The University of Oulu is a multidisciplinary, international research university, with about 4000 employees who produce new knowledge based on high-standards research and provide research based education to build a more sustainable, smarter, and more humane world. The University of Oulu community has about 17,000 people in total. Our northern scientific community operates globally and creates conditions for the emergence of innovations.

We are looking for applicant for

Three year doctoral researcher position in analog and RFIC design

to join us in the Circuit and Systems (CAS) Research unit at the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu

CAS has been conducting analog IC design since late 1980ies, designed hundreds of integrated
circuits from single amplifiers to multi-million transistor mixed-signal systems. Currently the group is involved in RF design from 10 GHz up to 300 GHz, (co-)supervising more than 10 doctoral researchers.

About the job

As a doctoral researcher you will be part of  the research group in the field of RFIC design. You will be participating in IC design research project in which integrated circuit for a phased array will be designed using modern advanced node CMOS technology. You will be designing circuit blocks for  transmitter or receiver depending on your skills. You will also be participating measurement campaign including probe and  over-the-air measurements. As a doctoral researcher you will be  publishing the results in scientific conferences and journals. In addition,  30 credit points of studies are required.
