SOLUTION DESIGNER

to join the International Mobility Services at the University of Oulu starting 1.3.2025.

About the job

The solution designer works in the Academic Affairs in the International Mobility Services team. The team produces services related to international mobility for both the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences.

• In this job, you focus especially on the services and guidance for the incoming exchange students. Communication and marketing tasks are strongly present at the job.
• Your tasks also include the coordination of international partnership agreements. 
• You take part in other activities related to international mobility and the develop our services and processes in cooperation with the team.

Who are you?

In order to succeed and enjoy the position, we expect from you:

• Master’s degree
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Good overall understanding of international mobility
• Knowledge of higher education and educational processes
• Professional communication skills 

We also appreciate:

• Work experience in similar expert positions 
• Fluent written and spoken Finnish
• Brisk and friendly service attitude
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing situations
• Experience in using study information systems and mobility management systems. 

Salary

The position is permanent starting from 1.3.2025 (or as agreed).

The salary will be based on the level 9 of the demand level chart for other expert and support staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). Starting salary will be approx. 3500 - 3800 EUR per month (before taxes). A trial period of 6 months is applied in the position.
