We are now looking for a
University Trainee
to join the Space Physics and Astronomy research unit for the summer of 2025. University traineeship should be part of the applicant's studies.
Trainee position
Job description: The TESS and Swift satellites are collecting an enormous amount of data from stars all over the sky. A trainee will perform an initial analysis of X-ray and UV observations from Swift and time-series analysis of TESS data of selected targets. Experience in time-series analysis is required. Also, strong English language skills are necessary for this task.
Recommended competencies: Time-series analysis in Astronomy (767601S), Observational Astronomy (765640S), and good programming (python) skills.
Duration: 3 months (starting from mid-May or as soon as possible thereafter).
Salary: 1646,31 €/kk
